Dear scouts and scouters,
Sometimes the opinions of our peers can have an influence on how we feel about the things we do. That can be a good thing when the influences are "good" and come from positive role models -- these things make our lives better. However sometimes people try to influence what we do because they don't like to do the things we do -- but if we change our lives based on their opinions then we are living for them and not for ourselves. Think about it - do you think they would change what they do based on what you enjoy? No, and neither should we! My advice -- just be yourself. Do what you enjoy!
Let's fill scouting with the things we think are fantastic, challenging, exciting, and thrilling. It will soon be time to do our annual planning so - scouts and parents - I leave you with two questions.
1. What do want to do in our upcoming year?
2. How can we have a better presence in the schools, demonstrating that scouting is fun and adventurous?
You may post anonomously or, if you wish, leave your name (scouts - first name and first letter of last name only please).
